The annual ordinary assembly of the “association des Amis de Vauquois et de sa Région” (Friends of Vauquois and its region) took place on Sunday 26th April 2026, at Cheppy community hall, with about 80 participants including several mayors and local representatives. Members were presented the annual report of activities that were conducted in 2025 and the status of the association’s resources. Members will be provided the detailed report in the next Bulletin in late May 2026.
Later that day, the board was called to confirm new members and elect a new chairman. Sébastien Perin has been elected as chairman of the association, following Serge Thierion who remained in position for 10 years. Ten years of total dedication to run the association activities, especially during the period commemorating the Centennial of the Great War. During 5 years, Vauquois Hill saw a record of visitors.
Thanks a lot Serge !
